Why should my dog not have eaten one hour before the walk?
The client agrees to ensure their dog has not eaten in the hour before pick-up by myself to allow sufficient time to digest food before any exercise or play to prevent the potentially life-threatening condition Bloat (Gastric Torsion).
What should I do if I need to cancel a booking?
If you need to cancel a dog walk, pet visit, or pet sitting that is in less than 5 days, please contact me via email or phone. To avoid being charged in full, make sure to provide a minimum of 7 days' notice.
Do I need to have a meet and greet?
I will not be able to walk your dog without a meet and greet first. It is very important to meet your dog and chat about their requirements.
Do I need to be home when you collect or drop off my dog?
You don't need to be home when I collect or drop off your dog. Most clients are comfortable sharing a set of keys with me, which allows me to collect and drop off your dog even if you are not home.
Will I need to pay a deposit for pet sitting?
For pet sitting that lasts 5 days or more, a 30% deposit is required to secure the booking.
Do you accept female dogs in heat?
I do not walk female dogs in heat.
What do you do in case of emergency?
In an emergency, I will contact you using the phone number you provided. If your pet needs veterinary assistance, I will take them to your designated vet or the nearest available one, depending on the situation.
Will you allow my dog to be off lead during walks?
Only if you have given me written consent to do so.
My dog can be aggressive with people and other dogs and has to wear a muzzle. Can you still walk them?
I will not accept aggressive dogs and clients agree to fully disclose any characteristics that might make their dog unsuitable for dog walking.
